The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints are not biblical Christianity. They believe God is a material creature who was once a person as we are now people. They say people can finally achieve godhood, and that there are many gods.
The Bible teaches this. God is uniquely eternal and all-powerful, the only God. He is a Spirit.
Psalm 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.
John 4:24
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
1 Timothy 1:17
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
