When evil have control, then some people will not trust in the Lord.
Isaac had an beautiful wife and he had fear. The most powerful man wanted Isaac's wife.
The man saw that Isaac was being romantic with Rebekah.
Isaac lacked faith and he didn't honor the Lord. He didn't tell the leader that Rebekah was his wife.
Isaac trust in his wisdom. He thought that God wasn't faithful.
God's plan will happen and mankind doesn't need to help the plan of God. People needs to be obedient to the perfect plan.
We have sinned and we need forgiveness. Here is the cure. Jesus was born then he became a man.
He died on the cross and resurrected from the dead. So the person needs to believe in the Lord and renounce the sins of the heart.
We will fail but God is faithful. We needs to learn from our sins and be faithful to the Lord Jesus.
Genesis 26:8-11
8 When Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelek king of the Philistines looked down from a window and saw Isaac caressing his wife Rebekah. 9 So Abimelek summoned Isaac and said, “She is really your wife! Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’?”
Isaac answered him, “Because I thought I might lose my life on account of her.”
10 Then Abimelek said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the men might well have slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.”
11 So Abimelek gave orders to all the people: “Anyone who harms this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
Isaac answered him, “Because I thought I might lose my life on account of her.”
