People can engage in sexual sin without ever having physical contact, and the Bible speaks clearly on this matter. Jesus taught that sin begins in the heart and mind, not just through actions. In Matthew 5:28, He says, "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." This shows that sexual immorality isn't limited to physical acts—it includes thoughts, desires, and intentions that dishonor God’s design for purity. The inner life matters deeply, and spiritual integrity involves guarding not only our actions but also our thoughts.
Matthew 5:27-28
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
