The certainty of the Bible

There are many people that wondered about the Bible. There are doubts that God was the author or it is written by man's wisdom. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21, it encourages to "test everything" mentioned in the Bible. I will explain three different test a person can do if they are seeking truth.

1) Is it prophetic and provable? This is the most important test. God commands that one hundred percent accurate prophecy be used to determine what is from God and what's not. Prophets were not one hundred percent accurate were deemed false and were to be stoned to death by throwing of rocks according to Deuteronomy 18:20-22. The Bible has over six hundred historical prophecies. God only allows truth in the Bible.

2) Is it reliable? Prophesy written after the fact would be suspect. The Bible has been proven that the prophecy was written before the fact. Reliability of manuscripts by far exceeds all other ancient writings.

3) Is it consistent? The sixty-six books of the Bible were written by forty authors who came from a variety of educational and cultural backgrounds. The people lived on the continents of Africa, Asia and Europe and used three different languages. It explains controversial topics and was written over a period of more than fifteen hundred years. One would think such a book would be inconsistent. Yet the Bible is consistent point throughout. That, itself, is a miracle.
