Many times people hide from their sins. We receive this nature because Adam and Eve did this. We have the sinful nature and we try to hide from the truth. We try to do good works but good works will not save a person.
Adam realized he had sinned so he wore some leafs. It was possible very uncomfortable. God graciously provided Adam and Eve with more effective to cover their shame.
Sin leads to death, the sinner doesn't receive God's gift of eternal life. We all deserve death and hell.
We have pride and we want to be God.
God banished Adam from the Garden. Before Adam sinned, man had worked in a beautiful and pleasant garden. Now he would have to work hard ground cursed with thistles.
The sword of God's judgement stood between fallen man and God's garden. Only through God's redemption in Christ does man have access to the tree of life.
Genesis 3:21-24
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Revelation 2:7
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
