The big struggle

Many people believe the old earth theory and universe. For example, how could the light from distant star reach the earth in six thousands years? When we examine the heavens at night we see so many distant stars and galaxies. There are billions of galaxies contains billions of stars. When astronomers look through their telescopes these galaxies. The light seem like pinpoints of light, many will believe that they are extremely distant.
We might ask, "How could light from a galaxy that appears to be billions of light-years distant reach the earth in six thousands years? It is a simply not scientific to even suggest such a thought.?
If we are basing our interpretation of the Bible on what scientists have told us and we cannot accept that distant starlight could appear on earth in six thousands years old. Many people that doubt the old earth will be mocked. So many people will compromise.
The Christians believe in the Resurrection of Jesus but many people will reject this idea because it is not scientific. If we can't believe that God is big enough to create  everything in the Universe. People need to be in the Bible. What miracles do we believe? Should we believe that Jesus walked on the water? This is not scientific. Should we believe that Jesus fed the five thousands form five loaves of bread? It is not scientific. When do we stop allowing the current scientific thought of the day influence our interpretation  of the Bible. How often are we willing to change the meaning of the Bible based on evolutionary thinking? What was once considered scientific truth is always changing. The presumed age of the universe and the earth has changed many times over the last century. Does this signify that the Bible must change to the current theory?
 Is is possible that God created the universe in six literal days and have the light from distant stars reach the earth? How big is God? There is nothing to difficult to God.
