The genealogies support a recent creation. Many time people will refuse genealogies because there are missing names.
If we examine the Bible, we observe the exact same first ten names beginning with Adam. So where do people get the information that names have been omitted? The Bible has genealogies.
Adam was living at the same time as Abraham's father. Here is an overlapping of name which explains it wouldn't matter if any any names were omitted.
Based on the Bible genealogies and written records:
1) The time from today to the time of Jesus Christ have 2,000 years.
2) The time from Jesus to the time of Abraham have 2,000 years.
Therefore, some people doubt the time between Abraham to Adam. The time between these time periods have 2,000 years. If we add the numbers, we have 6,000 years.
The Bible has provided three distinct reference which support a young earth.
1) The genealogies
2) The meaning of the word day in the Book of Genesis
3) The description of the Genesis Flood
Is is possible to combine the Bible and evolution? Did God use evolution as part of His creative process?
Not according to the Bible and the description and the meaning of the days of creation. The Bible clearly supports a young earth.
