The journey of grace

The history of Abram is a history of grace. We need to do the right things but Abram didn't always do the right things. He lied in Egypt and receive material blessings from God.
We receive grace from God. We are born sinners that deserve hell. We can escape hell when ask for a pardon. We can't walk to heaven because we sinned. The cross of Jesus is the bridge to heaven.
We need to repent from our sins and follow Jesus. We receive grace like in the life of Abram.
Abram and his friends abandoned  Egypt to the Negev. Then he went to a place near Bethel where he created an altar to the Lord. He called on the Lord.
The journey of life is difficult. God understands our future so we need to combine our will to his will.
Abram did this so we need to have ours will towards following Jesus.

Genesis 13:1-4

So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.

From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.
