Lack of faith

Abram is the father of three faiths but he was not a perfect man. He lacked faith and you can read this in the Bible. The history of Abram teaches mankind.
There was a shortage of food so Abram went to Egypt. He knew that his wife was beautiful so he believed that he would be killed.
He told his wife to lie. Sarai would tell the men that she was Abram's sister and not his wife. This is wrong.
He needed to protect his wife.
A follower of Jesus needs to be honest and not lie. We can follow Abram's example but he sinned. The believer should not lie.
Do you have worries in this life? You need to trust in the Lord and submit to the Lord in your life. It might be difficult but the Lord will give you the strength. 
Abraham needed to protect his wife. The man needs to protect his wife. The man of faith is accountable to God and in his marriage.
Marriage is difficult but the man should be controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 12:10-13

 

¹⁰ Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. ¹¹ As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are. ¹² When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. ¹³ Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.”
