The great test

The teacher will give a test to the students in the class. The teacher wants to see if the students learned in the class.

God gives us test to examine our hearts. Mankind will brag about many things without being tested.

So God will test the heart. The trials of life will the deepest desire from the heart.

Abraham was tested. God asked him to sacrifice his only son.

Abraham loved his child but he loved God  more.

We can't create an idol that is more important than God. A person needs to ask the Lord to examine their hearts.

I have asked God many questions. God has convicted me about idols. There are times when my idols are more important than God.

If we have wronged the Lord, then we need to repent from our sins. There should no idols in our lives.

Genesis 22:12

 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
