There are many people that reject truth. This person will follow the sinful nature. The sinful nature will bring trouble in that person life. There will always have issues in the sinner's heart.
The wise person will accept the truth. The truth is in the Bible. Jesus came to this world and died on the cross. He conquered death so we can have a transformed heart. We can experience God and go to heaven.
The Holy Spirit lives in the believer's heart. God will guide this person. Knowledge comes from God.
A person can follow the sinful nature or God.

Proverbs 14:18

 The simple inherit folly,
    but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
