Abram was seeking the Lord, but he didn't understood the plan of God. God promised Abram an child but Abram was an old man. He thought that Ishmael would fulfill the plan of the Lord.
Sarah will have an child named Issac. The line of the Messiah will come from this line. Jesus was born and he died on the cross for our sins. He conquered death so people can go to heaven.
If a person repents from their sins then that person can go to heaven.
God knew that Abram loved Ishmael but the line of the Messiah is not with this person. Ishmael will bring a great nation. God loved Ishmael and he desired that Ishmael to follow him. God loves the Arabic people. The Arabic people needs to repent from their sins and follow the Lord Jesus. Jesus is God.


  

Genesis 17:19-21

 ¹⁹ Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. ²⁰ And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. ²¹ But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.”
