The law of cause and effect

If every effect must have a cause, then what caused the original matter to being expanding called the big bang explosion? Macro-evolution has no scientific answer for this event. Therefore, it must be assumed to have happened by faith.
The Bible does have an answer for where the universe came from. Throughout the Bible there is a consistent answer that has never had to change.

Colossians 1:16

 ¹⁶ For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

 

Nehemiah 9:6

 You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
