Lies and truth

I love to think that everyone is honest but reality explains another story. If a person hears some information then that person can't assume everything is correct. This will always be true.
The truthful witness will be honest. It is hard to be honest but it is good to be honest. A person can trust a person with integrity. We need to examine our life and words. Are we honest or are we dishonest?
When I examine my heart then my heart can deceive me.
I need to ask the Holy Spirit to examine my heart. If God convicts of my sin then I need to repent from my sins.
If I don't repent from the sins then I become a witness that tells lies. There are times when we fail. We will become a false witness. The false witness will tell lies. We tell lies to hide our issues. I can be a false witness. When we become a false witness, we need to have a heart change. I love to say many people have false stories but I have told false history.
We need to ask the Lord to change our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We need to be truthful in every area of life.

Proverbs 12:17

 An honest witness tells the truth,
    but a false witness tells lies.
