Follow or reject

I love to read the history of Israel and the promise land. The Jews were traveling in the desert and God talked to Israel. Israel needed to listen to God because God had the perfect plan.  Israel could trust in themselves or in God.
This history lesson helps my faith. I can behave poorly and trust in man's idea. But I can believe in God and His plan is perfect. This require faith, I need to believe in God. God is good and we should not doubt God.
I can have fear of this world. If I follow God then the world will hate me.
God will conquer this world. If I focus on Jesus then I will receive my reward in the afterlife.

Exodus 23:20-23

 

²⁰ “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. ²¹ Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. ²² If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you. ²³ My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.

Revelation 20:11-15

 

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. ¹⁴ Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. ¹⁵ Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
