Missing the point?

There is good and evil. Many people talk about this topic. I will talk about Christianity and Hinduism. The idea of sin is different in these thoughts.  I like to study this topic.

The Hindus believe this. Good and evil are relative terms. Whatever helps is good; whatever hinders is vice. They say, individuals will fail as they strive to understand themselves. If they cannot succeed in this life, they may try again in a reincarnated form.

The Bible teaches this. Sin is proud, independent rebellion that separates humanity form God. It is failing to keep the standards of God, the standards of God that has been established. The Bible tells God's standard. Sin must be punished, and its consequence is death and eternal separation from God.

Romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in  Christ Jesus our Lord.
