God created humans to be sexual beings, and that is a gift from Him. However, the problem is that we, as humans, are often good at turning what is pure into something wicked. We take something sacred and distort it—we produce pornography and include sex scenes in most movies. We should not treat sex as something common or cheap.
When someone rejects Jesus, it is because they love sin more than they love Him. Such a person will often indulge in pornography and reduce sex to something dirty. The greater issue is when people who claim to follow Jesus also fall into the trap of lust and pornography.
Pornography is a serious problem, even among those who profess to love Jesus. We are called to avoid sin—especially sexual sin. If you struggle with pornography, it's important to put filters on your devices and seek accountability. But more than that, you must turn to God for help and strength.
Flee from sexual sin and ask the Lord to create in you a pure heart. Hold fast to this verse:
1 Corinthians 6:18–20
“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
