The Protector

The history in the book of Genesis is interesting. Abraham is interesting.
He was a great man but he wasn't perfect. He lied about his wife. He was afraid that he would be killed because he had a pretty wife.
God appeared to Abimelek. God was the great protector to Abraham's wife. When people fail, God will not fail.
I love God because he is always faithful. There are many occasions  when people are not faithful. But then God comfort my soul. 
If a person becomes disappointed because of mankind. That person can depend on the God of the Bible.
Mankind is a sinner but God can bring redemption. 
Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross. He conquered death so we can go to heaven and experience him. 

Genesis 20:3-5

 

³ But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him, “You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.”
⁴ Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he said, “Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? ⁵ Did he not say to me, ‘She is my sister,’ and didn’t she also say, ‘He is my brother’? I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands.”
