People always talk about beauty sleep and there might be element of truth to it.
I need all the help in this area, I don't know about you?
1) Fewer winkles:
Skin makes new collagen when you sleep, which prevents
sagging. “That’s part of the repair process,” says Patricia Wexler, MD, a
dermatologist in New York. More collagen means skin is plumper and less
likely to wrinkle.
Only getting 5 hours a night can lead to twice as many
fine lines as sleeping 7 would. It also leaves skin drier, which can
make lines more visible, Wexler says.
2) A good complexion
Your body boosts blood flow to the skin while you snooze,
which means you wake to a healthy glow. Skimp on sleep and your
complexion can look drab, ashen, or lifeless.
“Sleep deprivation causes a decrease in blood flow to
the skin surrounding your face,” Breus says. “Skin becomes dull, and you
don’t get those rosy cheeks anymore.”
3) Not the puff around the eyes
Chances are, you’ve had dark circles or bags under your eyes after a night of too few Zzz’s.
“Puffy eyes are one of the first things we see when we
don’t sleep,” says Doris Day, MD, a clinical associate professor of
dermatology at New York University Langone Medical Center. Get enough
shut-eye and you'll have less puffiness under your eyes
Stay well-hydrated and elevate your head with an extra pillow at night, too. That can also help reduce swelling.
Plenty of rest can also minimize dark circles. When blood
isn’t flowing well -- which happens when you’re low on sleep -- it can
collect under eyes and become visible, since the skin there is so thin.
Discoloration under eyes can also be caused by genes,
age, and increased melanin (the brown pigment in skin that causes it to
tan in the sun). If this is the case, sleep deprivation can make your
under-eye issue worse, Breus says.
4) You will have better hair
Hair loss, breakage, damage, and even growth can all be
affected by lack of sleep, Breus says. Hair follicles (where hair growth
begins) gain nutrients, vitamins, and minerals from blood flow. Since
blood flow decreases when we’re short on shut-eye, “hair gets less food,
it weakens, and it has difficulty growing,” Breus says.
Lack of Zzz's can also lead to more stress, Wexler
says. “Stress causes an increase in the hormone cortisol, which can
cause you to lose hair.”
5) You will look better
Being short on sleep can cause the corners of your mouth to droop, making you look sadder than you do after a good night’s rest.
“When you’re tired, your facial expressions change in subtle
and consistent ways. We tend to furrow and frown more,” Day says. “When
people say, ‘You look tired,’ it can be because of these expressions.”
Red, swollen eyes, dark circles, sagging eyelids, and paler skin can also signal to others that you’re exhausted.
People who don't get enough rest are also seen as less healthy than when they’re rested.
6) You will be a better worker
Your skin can focus on repairing itself while you sleep,
since it isn’t defending itself from sun and free radicals (harmful
molecules from the environment). Blood flow is also more consistent, and
this helps your skin benefit from the flesh-repairing ingredients in
your beauty products, Wexler says.
Skin also loses more water when you sleep than it does
during the day. Apply a creamier moisturizer before bed and drink
plenty of water during the day to help your complexion stay hydrated
overnight, Day says.

We look for hope and it is here
The desire, good in itself, but often too great and irregular, of being
the mother of the promised Seed, with the honor of having many
children, and the reproach of being barren, were causes of this
unbecoming contest between the sisters. The truth appears to be, that
they were influenced by the promises of God to Abraham; whose posterity
were promised the richest blessings, and from whom the Messiah was to
descend.
15 But she said to her, “Wasn’t it enough that you took away my husband? Will you take my son’s mandrakes too?”
“Very well,” Rachel said, “he can sleep with you tonight in return for your son’s mandrakes.”
16 So when Jacob came in from the fields that evening, Leah went out to meet him. “You must sleep with me,” she said. “I have hired you with my son’s mandrakes.” So he slept with her that night.
17 God listened to Leah, and she became pregnant and bore Jacob a fifth son. 18 Then Leah said, “God has rewarded me for giving my servant to my husband.” So she named him Issachar.
19 Leah conceived again and bore Jacob a sixth son. 20 Then Leah said, “God has presented me with a precious gift. This time my husband will treat me with honor, because I have borne him six sons.” So she named him Zebulun.
21 Some time later she gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah.
22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive. 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, “God has taken away my disgrace.” 24 She named him Joseph,[c] and said, “May the Lord add to me another son.”
Genesis 30:14-24
14 During wheat harvest, Reuben went out into the fields and found some mandrake plants, which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son’s mandrakes.”
15 But she said to her, “Wasn’t it enough that you took away my husband? Will you take my son’s mandrakes too?”
“Very well,” Rachel said, “he can sleep with you tonight in return for your son’s mandrakes.”

Natural face cleansers
If you don't want to order products to clean your face, you can use different products from your house. I will start with honey.
Honey will clean up your face and it should work with all skin types. Honey is not harsh.
This is clear but I will say to use water on your face before putting honey on your face.
Put a 1/2 teaspoon of honey in your palm of your hand if it is too thick then put some warm water on it. Then apply the honey on your face and avoid your eyes.
Use warm water to wash the honey off your face. Then dry your face.
Then put lotion on your face.
You can use oil, too.
Find a small bowl or bottle. You will be mixing two different types of oils, so you will need something to hold them.
Pour in the castor oil. How much castor oil will depend on your skin type. Here is how much castor oil you will need to use, based on your skin type:

- If you have normal skin, you will need 1 ½ teaspoon of castor oil.
- If you have dry or aging skin, use 1 teaspoon of castor oil.
Choose your carrier oil and pour it in. Castor oil on
its own is very drying, even for oily skin, and will need to be diluted
with a carrier oil. Here is a list of oils you can use, based on skin
type:
Use your oil cleanser to remove makeup. To clean off makeup, simply put a few drops of the oil onto a cotton ball or cotton round. Then, wipe your face with it. Rinse your face using warm water, then follow up with moisturizer and toner.
- If you have oily skin, add 1 teaspoon of any of the following oils: Argan, grapeseed, jojoba, sunflower seed, sweet almond, and tamanu.
- If you have normal skin, add 1 ½ teaspoons of any of the following oils: Argan, apricot kernel, grapeseed, jojoba, sunflower seed, sweet almond, and tamanu.

The Jealous person
Rachel envied her sister: envy is grieving at the good of another, than
which no sin is more hateful to God, or more hurtful to our neighbours
and ourselves. She considered not that God made the difference, and that
in other things she had the advantage. Let us carefully watch against
all the risings and workings of this passion in our minds. Let not our
eye be evil towards any of our fellow-servants, because our Master's is
good. Jacob loved Rachel, and therefore reproved her for what she said
amiss. Faithful reproofs show true affection. God may be to us instead
of any creature; but it is sin and folly to place any creature in God's
stead, and to place that confidence in any creature, which should be
placed in God only. At the persuasion of Rachel, Jacob took Bilhah her
handmaid to wife, that, according to the usage of those times, her
children might be owned as her mistress's children. Had not Rachel's
heart been influenced by evil passions, she would have thought her
sister's children nearer to her, and more entitled to her care than
Bilhah's. But children whom she had a right to rule, were more desirable
to her than children she had more reason to love. As an early instance
of her power over these children, she takes pleasure in giving them
names that carry in them marks of rivalry with her sister. See what
roots of bitterness envy and strife are, and what mischief they make
among relations. At the persuasion of Leah, Jacob took Zilpah her
handmaid to wife also. See the power of jealousy and
admire the wisdom of the Divine appointment, which joins together one
man and one woman only; for God has called us to peace and purity.
I need to say this. God does not want man to have two wives but He records history. You see the problem when a man have more than one wife. If you don't want problems, listen to the Bible.
3 Then she said, “Here is Bilhah, my servant. Sleep with her so that she can bear children for me and I too can build a family through her.”
4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife. Jacob slept with her, 5 and she became pregnant and bore him a son. 6 Then Rachel said, “God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son.” Because of this she named him Dan.[a]
7 Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. 8 Then Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won.” So she named him Naphtali.[b]
9 When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her servant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife. 10 Leah’s servant Zilpah bore Jacob a son. 11 Then Leah said, “What good fortune!”[c] So she named him Gad.[d]
12 Leah’s servant Zilpah bore Jacob a second son. 13 Then Leah said, “How happy I am! The women will call me happy.” So she named him Asher.
I need to say this. God does not want man to have two wives but He records history. You see the problem when a man have more than one wife. If you don't want problems, listen to the Bible.
Genesis 30:1-13
When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!”
2 Jacob became angry with her and said, “Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?”3 Then she said, “Here is Bilhah, my servant.

Why doing work in your yard is good?
God has given plants to man. Genesis 2:15 says, " The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." God put Adam in the Garden to take care of the plants. God has put it mankind to love to take care of the lawn and flowers.
There are health benefits of gardening. I will talk about the benefits. There is medicine that we all use that come from plants so gardening is good. Here is how doing yard work is good for your health.
I will work on the yard everyday for 30 minutes to an hour. It makes me happy.
After all, the Centers for Diseases Control says, “Gardening is an excellent way to get physical activity. Active people are less likely than inactive people to be obese or have high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, depression, colon cancer, and premature death.”
The activity of this works is excellent. An article in the Journal of Health Psychology titled, "Gardening Promotes Nueronendocrine and Affective Restoration from Stress" found that gardening leads to decreased cortisol levels and positive moods which can “promote relief from acute stress.”
Gardens have beauty so it makes us think about great things. If you worked on your garden, it makes you feel good because flowers and plants are made beautiful.

The history that we must read
The names Leah gave her children, expressed her respect and regard, both
to God and to her husband. Reuben, or See a son, with this thought, Now
will my husband love me; Levi, or joined, expecting, Now will my
husband be joined unto me. Mutual affection is both the duty and comfort
of the married relation; and yoke-fellows should study to recommend
themselves to each other, 1Co 7:33,34. She thankfully acknowledges the
kind providence of God in hearing her. Whatever supports and comforts us
under afflictions, or tends to our deliverance from them, God must be
owned in it. Her fourth son she called Judah, or praise, saying, Now
will I praise the Lord. This was he, of whom, as concerning the flesh,
Christ came. Whatever is the matter of our rejoicing, ought to be the
matter of our thanksgiving. Fresh favors should quicken us to praise
God for former favors; Now will I praise the Lord more and better than I
have done. All our praises must center in Christ, both as the matter of
them, and as the Mediator of them. He descended after the flesh from
him whose name was Praise, and He is our praise. Is Christ formed in my
heart? Now will I praise the Lord.
32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.
33 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the Lord hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
34 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.
35 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
Genesis 29:31-35
31 And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

Why swimming is great
I try to swim one to three times a week. I go to LA Fitness and the pool is never busy while the pool always have open lanes. I want to get into swimming more so I will swim three times this week.
I think swimming is for everyone.
I was a runner when I was younger and I have noticed that I can swim longer than ever running.
So a person can have a long workout without the joints hurting like when a person runs.
I don't know if you swim in a gym pool but if you don't be careful when you are in a lake or ocean.
I am sure that you are a careful person.
When a person swims, it is a total body workout. It will target the core, arms, legs, glutes, and back.
It is funny about swimming. I can run for an hour and hurt like crazy but if I swim for an hour and half, I feel refresh the next day.
People are all about doing yoga because it makes a person more flexible but swimming does the same for the human body.
It is great for aerobic conditioning. Your heart will keep pumping as you use your entire body to move through the water.
Swimming will help you with strength. You’ll get stronger from the resistance of the water, which is about 12 times the level of air resistance. Try using hand-held paddles, foam noodles, or a kickboard for extra resistance.
If you like to be the best then you can join a swimming team.
I will address the low-impact angle. If you have bad bones, swimming is perfect and it will improve how you feel.
The next question is if a person have a health condition.
Swimming is just about as good as it gets for a total workout.
If you are pregnant, the buoyancy of the water will take stress off your joints. If you swam before you became pregnant, you will likely be able to continue swimming unless you have a problem with your pregnancy.
Swimming is a great aerobic workout for people with most types of arthritis. It can take the load off your joints and help prevent injuries. It is also a good choice if you have low back pain. Warm water can be very soothing. Check with your doctor first if you are having joint pain, have had a recent injury, joint replacement, or are having an arthritis flare.
If you have diabetes, an aerobic activity like swimming can be a very important part of your diabetes plan. It will help you burn calories, lose weight, and keep your blood sugars under control. If you have high cholesterol, you will also benefit from swimming. It will help you lower your ''bad'' cholesterol and raise your ''good'' cholesterol.
If you have been a couch potato, or you have heart disease or other medical problems, check with your doctor first to see what kind of swimming program is right for you.
