Mocking because the person is great

There is no person that is perfect. Mankind understands that everyone is a sinner. There are two roads when a person receive convictions of their sins.
A person can reject forgiveness and make excuses. This is the most common practice in mankind hearts.
Jesus lived a perfect life and died on the cross but many people have pride. Mankind don't want to admit that they are sinners. If a person have lied then that person is worthy for hell.
The smart person will realize that they are a sinner. Everyone needs to receive forgiveness in the Lord. 
The cross of Jesus is the bridge from heaven to earth. People need to repent from their sins and follow the cross of Jesus.
When a person have goodwill towards God then that person will have a new life. The new life will bring love and other good things.

Proverbs 14:9
