Many parents will allow their children to do evil without any punishment. This will hurt the child. The child will have a problems in the future. This parent hates their children.
A good parent will teach their children. The good parent wants the best for their children. They want a better life for the next generation. This is requires to disciplinary actions to improve the wisdom of the child.
God is the best parent. He wants his followers to have a great life. He will correct his followers, if they are doing stupid things. If you are a follower of Jesus, you need to listen to him.
If you haven't accept Jesus, then you are not a child of God. You need to repent from your sins and follow him. He died on the cross for your sins. The cross of Jesus is the bridge to heaven.
