Don't worry about the future?

I think that we all worry about the future too much. We are afraid to get out of our beds because of our fears. I will be honest, I think about what will go bad.

Jacob had fears about the future so he used his cleverness instead of trusting in God.
God was teaching Jacob trust. It seems after Jacob's encounter with Esau went well because
God was faithful. The fear of Esau hating Jacob didn't happened so Jacob learned to trust in God.

God teaches me to trust in Him. I had an list of fears that I write down. I gave the list to God and God was steadfast. My fears were in vain. Jacob was settling down with God. Jacob's faith was getting solid. He made an place of residence for himself and his livestock in Sukkoth. Sukkoth means shelters. God can be our shelter if we allow Him to be.

Genesis 33:17,
Jacob, however, went to Sukkoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Sukkoth.

We need to take life one day at an time and rely on the Lord. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives. This means that we need to pray and read the Bible. If we allow God to lead then we have the greatest life.

Jacob after he went to Sukkoth, he went to Shechem. God will provide for our needs. One of the biggest worries in life are based on money. People will make money their God.

Psalm 39:6,
Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be.

God gave Jacob provision and Jacob honored God with God's money. All money doesn't belong to us but to God. I know that we have bills but God provided for us. Many people do not put God over their money and that is sad.

Genesis 33:18-20,
After Jacob came from Paddan Aram, he arrived safely at the city of Shechem in Canaan and camped within sight of the city. For a hundred pieces of silver , he bought from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem, the plot of ground where he pitched his tent. Then he set up an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.

El Elohe Israel means El is the God of Israel. God is God over Israel. If you are not Jewish,
God can be your God. Jesus came to this earth so Jewish people can be forgiven if they repent from their sins and accept Jesus as the Messiah. The people that are non-Jews can know and follow Jesus, if they repent from their sins and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
