I always have good motives

People like to think that their motivation are always pure. We like to believe that we are white as snow.
We can use a standard that make us seem good. A person can give money to the poor and then brag about the action. The action was based on reputation.
The Bible teaches that the human heart is deceitful. If we trust in our thinking and our goodness. Then we are fools.
The Lord sees our desires. If a person refuse to repent from their sins and follow Jesus. Then that person is controlled by the sinful nature. That person needs to receive a pardon. But the heart will deceive that person.
We must ask the Lord to examine our desires. Then allow the Holy Spirit to transform our lives.
God created us so he understand our past, present and our future.

Proverbs 16:2

All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the Lord.
