Prayer is an popular topic. When a person is in trouble then that person will pray. There are drug dealers in Mexico that kills people. When the drug dealers are in trouble, then they will pray.
People wonder if God hears the prayer of the drug dealers.
God answers prayers of people that seek him. If person wants to live in their sins then God will not be near the person. A person needs to desire to follow the Lord.
Many people want God to honor their sins. God wants us to hate our sins. If  a person hates the truth of the Bible then why should God answers their prayers?
If a person realize that they are a sinner. That person needs to ask for a new heart. God hears these prayers.
The only true God is the God of the Bible. Jesus came to this earth and lived a perfect life. He died on the cross and arose from the dead. He is on the right hand of God the Father.
We must repent from our sins. If we repent from our sins then we are forgiven. The Holy Spirit will enter this person soul and will become a new person.

Proverbs 15:29
