This proverbs explains people having a lot of meat. This was a sign of wealth. The issue was that their were no love in the family.
The family may not have hunger but the lack of love will destroy the family.
Then there was a family that had only vegetables. The element that this family had love.
If a person desire love, that person needs to go to the source.
The source of love is God. The source of hatred is the sins of mankind.
God is love. Our sins leads to hell and judgement. God must punish our sins because he is just.
God the Son came to this earth. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross. He conquered death and went back to heaven.
If a person repents from their sins then that person will go to heaven. Our sins promote hatred but God's love in the person of Jesus.
