The truth will hurt the human ego

Is it possible to combine the Bible and evolution? Did God use evolution as part of His creative process? When we examine the order of created events, the two models have two different history.
The model of evolution claims that stars evolved first and then billions of years later the earth evolved into existence.
The Bible explains that the earth was created first then the stars were created on the fourth day. This presents a difference between the two ideas.
The model of evolution claims that reptiles first evolved first then over millions of years, birds evolved.
The Bible explains God created birds on the fifth day and then He created reptiles on the sixth day of creation. This is contrary from the evolution model.
The model of evolution claims that the earth evolved into existence as a fiery mass.
The Bible explains that the earth began with water and not from a fiery mass.

Genesis 1:2
