Who is he?

Muslims and Christians disagree on the topic of Jesus.

The Muslims believe this. Jesus Christ was a man, a prophet equal to Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses. Mohammed is the important prophet. Christ did not die for humanity's sins; Judas, not Jesus died on the cross.

The Bible teaches this. Jesus is the Messiah. He is the Son of God. He and the Father are one. He is the sinless Redeemer of sinful humanity through His vicarious  death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.

John 1:13-14

 

13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.


Hebrews 4:15

 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

 

 

1 Peter 3:18

 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

 

 

1 Corinthians 15:3

  For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
